How To Communicate With People … cont..

In my previous post I delved in some tips on how to communicate with people. In this post I am going to continue with some more tips.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: We have all heard the expression … “First impressions last”. Well people tend to judge every aspect of you from their first impressions of you. So try and make an effort to make a good initial impression, it will save you loads of trouble in the future.

SPEAK WELL: In order to have great communication skills, you need to be able to maintain an intelligent conversation, not speak a lot and blabber about whatever you feel like. You need to listen to what you are saying and learn to articulate and choose your words well.

LISTEN: How many of you drift away into lala land when someone starts speaking to you? Well if you really don’t give a rats ass about the person, then ok. But if you do, then you need to make the effort to listen to what that person is saying. It will help you tremendously.

STAY IN TOUCH: Keep in touch with your acquaintances. Make sure you maintain the best possible relationship with them by calling or writing them once is a while. Just contact them and let them know you still exist.
