You Have Two Choices.

I received this beautiful email today and I thought I would share it with you. I don't know how true it is but the moral behind the story cannot be ignored. It was sent to me as a power point presentation so I have just retyped it.

You Have Two Choices.

Jerry is the manager of a restaurant. He is always in a good mood. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would always reply:

"If I were any better. I would be twins!"

Many if the waiters at his restaurant quit their jobs when he changed jobs, so they could follow him around from restaurant to restaurant. Why? Because Jerry was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was always there, telling them how to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him:

"I don't get it! No one can be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

Jerry replied:

"Each morning I wake up and say to myself, I have two choices today. I can choose to be in a good mood or I can choose to be in a bad mood. I always choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I always choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept there complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I always choose the positive side of life."

"But it is not always that easy" I protested.

"Yes it is" Jerry said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. It's your choice how you live your life."

Several years later, I heard that Jerry accidentally did something you are never supposed to do in the restaurant business. He left the back door of his restaurant open. And then in the morning he was robbed by three armed men. While Jerry was trying to open the safe box, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Jerry was found quickly and rushed to the hospital. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body…

I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied:

"If I were any better, I'd be twins. Want to see my scars?"

I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place.

The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door" Jerry replied. "Then, after they shot me, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I ha two choices: I could choose to live or I could choose to die. I chose to live." Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw the expression on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In there eyes, I read 'He's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action"

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big nurse shouting questions at me" Sais Jerry. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes, to bullets", I replied. Over their laughter, I told them: 'I am choosing to live. Please operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."

Jerry lived thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day you have the choice to either enjoy your life or hate it.

The only thing that is truly yours – that no one can control or take from you – is your attitude, so if you can take care of that, everything else in life becomes much easier.

Please feel free to share this message to as many people as you can.

To your success.

Will It Ever Happen for Me?

I don't know exactly where you're at in your journey to creating passive income. But from my experience and my own struggles, I could imagine that you sometimes ask yourself:

"Will it ever happen for me?"

I asked that many times. And the one thing that gave me encouragement that it could happen for me, was that I saw other people enjoying financial success. When I looked at some of the people who were successful I saw that they did not quit, like I had at times. And now, years down the road they were enjoying the fruit of their labor. I knew that they had not quit and that is why they had the income growth.

What I learnt from this was:
Even if the growth is slow (and sometimes stops), if you just don't quit and do a bit regularly, you will see great results 5 to 10 years down the road.

So be encouraged: Just keep doing the work that is required in whatever business you are involved in. Do it on a regular basis, and years down the road you will be amazed at the financial success you will have achieved.

It has happened for me and it will happen for you too, Jan

Strive to Be Your Best!

I read this interesting story from an e-book today, and it got me thinking. It went like this:

The Tale of Two Bricklayers

An observer watched two bricklayers working. One was lively, worked hard and enthusiastically. The other one was slow, lazy and passive. When the observer asked them what they were doing, the lazy one's reply was: "I am laying bricks." The hard worker's replay was: "I am building one of the most beautiful hotels in the country. One day I will be a builder with a crew and build beautiful hotels. I will be able to afford to take my family on holidays and stay in hotels like this one."

So which one of the two bricklayers are you?

If you are the lazy one then I would strongly recommend joining Be Motivated Today and reading some of there wonderful products they have. If you are the lively one, well then good for you! You are on your way to success. As long as you keep up the enthusiasm. So many of us just sit back and accept life is what it is, no matter how unhappy or unsatisfied we are. We make ourselves believe that our circumstances are out of our control and maybe we are paying some kind of penance for something.

But the truth is that we ALL have this incredible power within us to be everything we desire to be. We can have everything we want, be as happy as we want and it is all within us. You just have to believe.

Do yourselves a favour, if you feel like you are lacking in any part of your life, and you have this inner yearning to fulfil this gap in your being that you have. Join Be Motivated Today and discover all the techniques to unleash your full potential.

Get Off Your Backside and DO IT!

Most of us have developed the habit of blaming others or circumstances for the way there lives have turned out. They say things like: "He should have watched where he was going" or "If only I didn't have such a bad childhood." But the truth is we cannot blame anybody for our circumstances except ourselves.

Nobody owes us anything; we cannot wait for others to change out circumstances. We must get UP and DO something about it.

"If it's going to be it is up to me." This should be a motto to live by.

The only way to change our circumstances is not to rely on others, but to take responsibility for our lives and do whatever it takes to change our circumstances. Don't complain and point fingers at others. Take charge and do something positive. ALL THE TIME! We, Us, You make it happen.

And then have faith and believe it will happen.

To your success.

Attitude

It's not how smart or intelligent you are that determines how successful you will be in life, but rather your mental attitude and enthusiasm to life that will lead you to your success.

It is not that difficult to have the right attitude when things are going as planned, when your children are doing well and behaving themselves, when the big jobs come in, when there is money coming in. but when things start going wrong, when there is no money in the bank, when you have personal problems at home, then it is not so easy to maintain a winning attitude.

The key to success is, when times are tough, to still maintain a great attitude regardless of what you see in front of you. Remember how your life is today is a result of what you thought and believed yesterday. Your situation today is not how things are now but rather a result of how things were yesterday. Yesterday is done and gone, tomorrow must still come, so concentrate on making today great.

Maintaining a winning attitude results in our thoughts, actions, words and beliefs remaining constructive and up-building in every situation we face. And that creates success.

To your success.
