Reading body language, which contributes greatly to communication, can be a little difficult to master. A person’s body language can confirm or contradict that person’s words by either showing positive or negative body language. Body language can reveal the true intentions or feelings of a person, more so than words.
For Example: You are at a party, having a conversation with someone. He/She asks a question about yourself, but you can see from his/her eye contact that he/she is not really interested in what you have to say, because he/she is looking around, perhaps for some more interesting conversation. Now how would that make you feel?
People can very quickly pick up, via your body language, whether you are interested in what they have to say. So don’t let your body language give the wrong message. Let your body language show that you are interested. Always maintain eye contact and don’t get distracted when someone is trying to speak to you.
