Your Identity (Part 3)

In my previous post "Your Ultimate Purpose", I explained how to determine you ultimate reason for
obtaining your goals in life. You need to know why you want what you otherwise you are not going to be very enthusiastic about it are you? In this post I am going to explain the next step in planning your life. Deciding on your identity, who you want to be.

 Your Identity

Who are you? What kind of a person are you? Are you lazy, driven, enthusiastic, joyful, energetic? Who you are will determine how you achieve your goals, since who you are is merely a sum of your beliefs. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger says in his "Six Rules", "You need to dig deep down and ask yourself, who do you want to be?"

Once you discover who you want to be, and start following those rules, you will see that your entire life begins to change. Because you will start growing into the person who will achieve those goals and realize your dreams. So you need to ask yourself:
(I took the following from Stefan Pylarinos's blog Project Life Mastery)
  • Who am I?
  • Who do I ultimately want to be in this life?
  • If I were to look my name up in a dictionary, what would it say?
  • If there were no limits, who would I be?
  • How would I define myself?
 An example would be:
"I'm a mover and shaker of possibility!"

So go sit down and ask yourself those questions and then write it down.

To Your Success.
